what a wonderful holiday! adam and i flew to sc on monday before christmas to spend the week with our family there. and eric drove down on thursday to be with us for the holiday. it was a LOT of traveling, driving and running here and there. BUT, it was so nice to see everyone, relax at my parents with time off work and enjoy the holidays with family.

adam and otis watching daddy shovel snow from our front walk.

adam's first time wearing his new snowsuit and gloves. fit perfectly, thank goodness!

snow, snow, snow! as i write this, we're about 12 inches in and under a blizzard warning. this is the most snow in dc for 6 years -- so definitely the most i have been through here. insane!
we were sure adam would scream when we put him in the snow, but he actually enjoyed it and played for a minute.... before we all ran inside to dry off and warm back up!

what a big weekend. on top of finally, completely solo-walking and attempting running (adam's upper body goes faster than his feet, resulting in a crash after a few running steps! ha), adam is signing and saying "more." particularly when he is eating. on friday, he ate all of HIS potatoes and signed and said "more, more" and then pointed at eric's potatoes! HA. sometimes he also asks for "more, more!" and points to my plate when there are plenty of bites left on his own plate. i think he's just liking that he got the hang of it and learned a new word and sign. his school has been teaching him baby sign language since he began going there, but we haven't done it at home at all. so, i'm just glad to see it caught on for him.

one more week of work and school before we head to sc to visit with grandma and grandpa and a few pals for the holidays. the count-down is ON!
