today was adam's 1-year check up. here are the stats:
32 inches tall, 95th percentile.
23.4 lbs, 50th percentile.
19 inches for his noggin, 90th percentile.
just like daddy, tall, lean and has a big head... hahaha. kidding about the head part. :)
the pediatrician said adam is looking quite healthy and he received three vaccines- 1 flu shot and 2 others.
adam, you're super into books right now. your favorite book is a book that is all about colors. i give you other books but this is the only one you like sometimes. you're also into a curious george book i bought you a couple weekends ago.... so, i think we may have a monkey in our house for halloween this year. :)
you love seeing people bounce or throw things. you laughed last weekend at the white house at a man kicking a soccer ball into the air. and last night, i dropped your baby lotion and said- whoops!- and you laughed and laughed.
also, your top two teeth have poked through and are about half way out. i can see they're bigger than your bottom teeth and i wonder how it must feel to have teeth coming out of your gums like that?! you've been pretty normal, but have had a few inconsolable moments recently. i know it must be painful and i think we'll all be glad when they've fully arrived.
after your appt today, you slept so long that i ended up working from home, just in case you weren't feeling well from your shots. but, now you're awake and having a plum, some graham crackers and milk for a snack at the table with me. and when you finish, we're going outside for a bit to sit in the sun and play on the jungle gym while i get some more work done!
