lately, adam is babbling in a crazy baby language that's hilarious. he looks at us completely seriously and says yapa-daba-daba-daba. his other fave is meeno-meeno-meeno-meeno.

in english (or in his own special version of english :)) he's saying:
light (ight! always accompanied with an emphatic point at the nearest light source, including, the window in his room first thing in the morning when the lights are all out and the morning light is first coming in his window. i love this! he points to the window and with a big smile says IGHT! pointing and saying ight happens about 2000 times per day... for months, adam has been obsessed with lights. his cousin cory is/was the same)

in addition, he clearly understands:

in and out- in the bath we practice putting the small cup in the big cup and taking it out of the big cup

peekaboo (likes to cover his own face repeatedly and pop out for a surprise)

some other new things:
loves to throw and catch a ball back and forth
likes to stand alone and practice walking. 3 steps alone is still the record. LOVES to walk holding hands and cries when we make him stop this-- like when it's time to get in the car after we've just walked to the car.
books. loves looking at books. he looks at lots of books all day, pulling them off his book shelf and making a giant pile (mess) to look through. we read a book every night.
eats graham crackers by taking bites, instead of me breaking into bites.
appetite is waning. dr told us this would happen and it has indeed. it seems to me he's eating about half what he ate before.
opens cabinets (eric put latches on all the cabinets and drawers this weekend, except one "safe" cabinet) and any doors. he loves to push our front door to almost closed and then open it again... this entertains him for quite awhile... :)
gets VERY angry when something he loves comes to an end, like the walking i mentioned above. he has such a serious angry baby face that's truly hard not to laugh at... must work on that so he'll take us seriously... hehe.
