eric is a genius. when it comes to making life more simple, it doesn't take much to impress me... but impress me he did!
it might seem silly, but i have spent minutes, which have likely now accumulated into hours, cutting adam's food into tiny little bites he can pick up and safely eat. this weekend, with eric home, i watched him grab our kitchen scissors (the pair that came with the knife set) and go to town on a chicken breast. in a jiffy, he had cut it into little baby size bites, washed the scissors and we were done! for months, i have been wrestling with a knife and fork, washing cutting boards and utensils...
and here i was, proud of myself i'd thought to use the pizza cutter to cut up adam's waffles! i apparently still have a long way to go when it comes to tool-usage, even in my own kitchen...

this weekend eric and i took adam for a walk for about a half day around old town. daddy got to swing adam at the park this week, which was a treat for us all. last night, adam's mamama and pop pop came over for dinner, which was another treat for everyone. and, eric installed adam's big-boy car seat into my car (already had one bigger seat installed in eric's jeep). so now we're all set and safe.... until likely second grade. ha.
all in all, a lovely family weekend!
