today, i walked into daycare to pick up adam and, when he saw me, he looked up from the play mat and gave me a huge grin, like he'd been waiting for me and suddenly there i was. it melted my heart completely. as we left the center, i bounced us up and down as we walked down the hall toward the door and he giggled and giggled.
tonight when we came home and played, i put him on his tummy and got on the floor myself to encourage him. for the first time, he lifted up on hands and knees and pushed all at once. much to his surprise, though, backwards he went! i had to laugh at the shock on his little face.
i think peas are adam's favorite food so far. bananas might be a close second. tonight he had peas and started crying between each bite. mommy isn't fast enough with that spoon! a few whimpers and then happiness as the peas entered his little mouth. hilarious.
