weekend fun

we had a wonderful weekend! my parents came from SC to visit. adam was his happy little self as we went all enjoyed special time together. we went to lunch on saturday in old town and adam played in his stroller and then decided to take a big nap while we were there. he's at such a great stage-- can play on his own, or be blissfully happy with friends and family. sleeps well when he's tired, and eats just a four bottles per day now, making getting out and about much easier.

then, sunday night, adam and eric had special daddy-baby time when i went to teach yoga. all in all, a perfect weekend!

one of the funniest parts was the very end of the weekend... my parents wanted a photo of adam sitting with them. eric and i, old pros at baby-photo-taking by now, started our routine. goofy faces, farting sounds, and toy shaking. the baby responded with smiles and giggles all in the right direction. but my parents?! they laughed harder than the baby at mine and eric's attempts and/OR they didn't look in the right direction... etc. who would have thought that the baby would be the agreeable party in this photo op? :)

also, little adam has always been fascinated with his feet while sitting. just now, he's located them while lying down.

after his bath tonight, while getting dressed in jammies...

we tried adam on a couple new foods this weekend-- avocado and green beans, both fresh and pureed by yours truly. he gobbled the green beans up, but the avocado was less than desirable to our baby! his faces were priceless. we will wait to try it again. i can't let myself believe he won't like avocados... i mean, eric and i have been known to eat entire tubs of guac for dinner, so....

yukky avocado face!

finally i am starting to feel back to "normal." that, or i am just getting used to my new self, can't decide which! regardless, the scheduling with the baby/eric/work is getting easier, my body feels more and more like its old self every day. things are finally into more of a groove and i feel less like a postpartum lady and more just like myself. still not totally like before though... but getting closer. who knew it would take this long?!
