yummy yummy in his tummy

this weekend, i made adam home-made sweet potatoes and carrots. i was so proud of myself that i took some photos! :)

it was so easy. i literally steamed the carrots, baked the potatoes, pureed them in the processor with a wee bit of water. then i freezed them in a an icecube tray. then i transferred the frozen cubes to freezer bags. easy as heck! and this food is FRESH and PURE. i love it. this weekend i'm going to take on fruits and green veggies. wish me luck! all we have to do is thaw a cube or two for a meal and that's it. oh yes, and have i mentioned how well-priced this option is?!
adam is still sick. :( we took him to the dr. today for the second time. his cough is getting worse and i can't stand watching him cough and not be able to breathe when he wakes from his naps. since he gained a pound in a week since we last took him to the dr (17.4!!) they weren't concerned about anything too serious, but did say he has a deep chest cold. the dr. prescribed cough syrup for babies and also some antibiotics, just in case it is bacterial. i am not fond of taking antibiotics "just in case." not at all. but... i also am not a dr. with years of medical training, so... i will do what they say. they let us know if he isn't starting to get better in a few days, to bring him back. let's all hope he's getting better soon! poor lil dude. :(
the good news is that, even though his cough is just heart breaking, he is in good spirits most of the time (see below) and sleeping like a champ-- i can only imagine that's because he's trying to get better, but it sure is nice for mommy and daddy right now. ha.
